Product Description

Crystal Nandi harmonizes the aura around us and removes the harmful energy with unlimited positive crystal power. It is said that a devotee who whispers his wishes in the ears of Nandi before praying to Lord Shiva, gets his wishes fulfilled faster. Nandi is the name of the gate-guardian deity of Kailasa, the abode of Lord Shankar (Shiva). He is usually depicted as the mount (Vahana) to the Lord Shiva.

According to Saivite tradition, he is considered as the chief guru of 8 disciples of Nandinatha Sampradaya - Sanaka, Sanatkumara, Sanatana, Sanandana, Vyagrapada, Tirumular, Patanjali and Sivayoga Muni who were send to 8 different directions to spread the wisdom of Shaivism.

The word Nandi has originated from Tamil root word Nandhu means to grow to flourish or appear as growing flourished white bulls as well as divine bull.  The Sanskrit word Nandi means "happy", "joy" and "satisfaction"; also said as the properties of divine guardian of Lord Mahadeva - Nandi. Almost all Shiv temples show stone images of a seated Nandi, generally facing the main shrine.

The worship of Nandi can be trace to even Indus Valley Civilization time period. Nandi is described as the son of the sage Shilada. Shilada suffered severe penance to have a boon — a child with immortality towards Lord Mahadeva and got Nandi as his son. Nandi got the divine knowledge of Tantric and Agamic wisdom taught by Lord Shiva from Mata Parvati.

When we place this in our home or office, the place is purified by the power of natural and pure crystal and the blessings of Lord Shiva is attained. Crystal Nandi also brings prosperity, happiness and joy to the house. It is important to seek the blessings of Nandi vahana before one proceeds to worship Lord Shiva.
