Garh Ganesh Fair is organized every year in the ancient temple of Lord Ganesh (Jaipur). The Garh Ganesh Temple Jaipur, Rajasthan is devoted to Lord Ganpati (Deity Ganesha). This famous temple is located on the hills near Jaigarh and Nahargarh Forts. It is believed that in the Garh Ganesha temple, Lord Ganesha is present in the form of small child (Baal Roop) – called Vigra Purushakriti (without trunk). The unique part of the temple is that it has been designed much like Jaipur forts and matches the feel of Nahargarh Fort in whose vicinity the shrine stands.

The Garh Ganesha Mandir Jaipur was built by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh of Jaipur. He made the temple and placed the statue of Lord Ganesha (baal roop). Maharaja kept the statue of Lord Ganpati in such a way that he could be able to see the Idol with the help of binoculars from his fort named Chandra Mahal, Jaipur.

The Garh Ganesha temple attracts devotees of Lord Ganesh not only from Rajasthan state, but also from different states of the country. Gadh Ganesh fair (Jaipur) celebrations begin a day before the famous Ganesh Chaturthi festival in Bhadrapada Shukla Paksha. A fair is organized annually to show respect towards the Child avatar of Lord Ganpati. The Garh Ganesh Mela of Jaipur continue for a period of 5 days and start by offering of Mehndi to the baal roop (Child avatar) of Lord Ganpati.

The statue of Lord Ganesh is decorated with flowers, green leaves, etc., during the period of Garh Ganesh Fair celebrations. Special arrangements are also made for the worshipper and they relish traditional Rajasthani dishes which are offered as Parsad during Puja ceremony.    The complete arrangement and management of the shrine is overlooked by the Audhchya family.
