It is a an International festival  of Techno-Management carried out yearly by College of Engineering, Guindy, Anna University, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. This Festival is observed in the month of November or December. This festival is carried out by the students in Haryana. Kurukshetra is known after the eminent King Kuru who won the epic battle in Mahabharata.

Highlight of Kurukshetra Festival
In Haryana, this festival is celebrated with great fervour and enthusiasm. It is one of the festivals where you can find both religious and non-religious people from all over the world. The story of the festival lies in the battle war where Pandavas and Kauravas fought in the Mahabharata. This was the place where Sri Krishna and Arjuna interacted about the epics of Mahabharata and later they put in writing in the holy book called “Bhagwad Gita”. Since then this place was named from the sage king Kuru. The place holds the memories of how the battle was fought and how the talented and intellectual people won the battle. In order to commemorate this place, the festival is observed to enhance the students’ skills so that they can showcase their talent at the festival. The festival is named as the “The Battle of Brains” to motivate the students for their knowledge and skills. The festival is observed for four days in order to involve students from various colleges.

Celebrations in Kurukshetra Festival
Though the festival is based on religious importance, many non-religious students actively participate in this event to showcase their skills. During the Kurukshetra festival, along with students people from the world visit this holy place in order to enhance their religious knowledge about Mahabharata. Stories from Bhagwad Gita are been told including the Sholkas and poems that are written in the hold book. During the festival, free medial camps are been arranged. Apart from this medical camps, books exhibitions are been conducted. You can even witness classical Sholkas and Bhajan arranged by the community.  You can witness amazing time attending this festival.
