World AIDS Day –To Commemorate the Awareness
World AIDS day is celebrated is celebrated on 1st day of December every year all across the world. This day is celebrated to raise the awareness about the AIDS which is caused by the spread of HIV infection. It also focuses on main issues about HIV and AIDS. Today, it has become the international event celebrated all over the world to raise awareness and to commemorate those who are suffering or likely receive victory.  The main aim of the day is to educate people about the disease and acquire immense knowledge to avoid such links to themselves and their people. This day was declared first by the World Health Organization in the year 1988. On this day a small Red ribbons is  pinned up on clothes as a sign of  the support for this day.

History behind World AIDS Day
World’s AIDS day was observed  for the first time in August 1987 by James W. Bunn and Thomas Netter in association with World Health Organization. Bunn was a broadcast journalist and though with its medium he educated people and raise awareness about AIDS and HIV consequences. As these event got attention from the people who really wanted to get education about the HIV and AIDS, it was recognized all over the world. At present it is now an annual tradition to educate people of all group age about the epidemic to avoid any risks for the future. A simple red ribbon is widely recognized symbols of HIV and AIDS and the people who live with these conditions. The symbol was presented by the Visual AIDS Artists Caucus in 1991.

How World AIDS Day is celebrated:
Many health campaigns are organized to celebrate this day and to educate people about the HIV and AIDS. Many people hold events so that they can create a great platform to the people who do not have much knowledge about this day. It allows friends and family members of a deceased AIDS sufferer to explore how it is important to have good education about thus epidemic. There are many charities associated with the AIDS awareness issues who take the initiative to educate people especially who illiterate. Every year World Health Organization suggest different theme to raise awareness about this epidemic.
