Mangan is one of the popular towns of North Sikkim in India. Many tourists visit this place yearly and this town has various lovely places to see in and around it. Besides this, the population of this town includes 1248 in which 62% are males and 32% are females. Another surprising fact about this town is that 16% of its people are below 6 years. The various languages which the people living in Mangan speak are Sunwar, Gurung, Newari, Nepali, Lepcha, Limbu, Rai, Sherpa and Mangar.  It acts as a gateway for opening up of the Tibetian Plateau. The climate of the town is very temperate as the same is located in elevation zone.

Places to see in Mangan:  

Singhik: Singhik is a very famous village and it is 12km away from Mangan. This village really looks fabulous with greenery everywhere. Many people from different parts of the world usually visit this place to enjoy its scenic beauty. The Mt.Siniolchu and Mt.Kanchenjunga views really look outstanding from this town. This city looks really fabulous with the mountains surrounding it.
                                              
Labrang Monastery: Labrang Monstery is really famous across India and it was constructed in the year 1814. This monastery strictly follows the Nyingmapa school principles. There is also another famous monastery called ‘Phadong monastery’ in the surroundings of Labrang monastery. Besides, the Phadong monastery was built in the 18th century.   

Shingba Rhododendron sanctuary: Shingba Rhododendron sanctuary is a very sanctuary in India and it consists of almost 40 rare species. It is surrounded by Chua Sagochen on east and Chomzomei on west. You can find various plant species like potentillas, poppies, gentians, primulas and many more in this sanctuary. The famous river YumThang river flow through this sanctuary and it is the water source for the animals living in this sanctuary. This sanctuary really looks outstanding especially in the months of May and April. Visiting this place along with your family really makes you happy and especially your children.

 
Rong Lungten Lee: Rong Lungten Lee is a very famous tourism spot located nearby to the Mangan. This house consists of Lepcha artifacts. Most of the visitors who visit Mangan will definitely visit this place to watch the various items. No doubt in it you will definitely get surprised after seeing the various items in this house.
Sirijonga Yuma Mangheem: Sirijonga Yuma Mangheem was built in the year 1983. Besides, most of the tourists usually visit this place during the Maghey Sankranti festival time.
Yumthang valley: Yumthang valley is 150km away from Gangtok. This valley is also known as the flowers valley. This valley really looks fabulous especially in the months of March and November.

Shopping in Mangan: Mangan is famous for various items like Lord Budha idols, fabrics and all the women accessories. Thus, you could buy these things in Mangan as the same are available at a cheaper cost. Moreover, they really look fabulous too! You can collect it for gifting purpose to near and dear ones.
