Quilon is an amazing holiday spot which is located in the part of Kerala. Also known as Kollam, this place is close to Alappuzha from the north, Pathanamthitta from northeast. In the south of Quilon Thiruvananthapuram and Tirunelveli of Tamilnadu is in the east side of Quilon. Pronounced as Kay-lon, in Sanskrit Quilon means pepper. Thangasseri: Located at a distance of 5 kilometers, Thangasseri is a place which has great history. There are ruins of the 18th century churches here and you can also see the remains of the ancient Portuguese fort. There is a beautiful lighthouse here which stands majestically at a height of 144 feet. From the top of this lighthouse you can enjoy the mesmerizing views of the nearby places.

Thirumullavaram Beach: For a refreshing experience you should not miss the Thirumullavaram Beach which is located at a distance of just 6 kilometers from Quilon. It is an awesome beach where you can spend quality time with your family or friends. A day picnic here will be a great idea. At a short distance from this beach is Mayyanad. There are many popular temples like Lord Subramanya temple and shrines near this beach which offer exotic treat to mind and soul.

Sasthamkotta: The famous Sasthamkotta Lake and hills with splendid beauty are attractions of Sasthamkotta. We will recommend you to make a visit to the Sastha temple here which is an ancient temple with rich history.
