Amarkantak is located at a height of 1065 meters, in a beautiful place where Vindhya and Satpura mountain range meet. The beauty and natural splendor of Amarkantak attracts many tourists each year. Narmadakund and temples:
Narmada Kund is a beautiful and holy place which is actually a pond on the place where River Narmada begins. At this place there are beautiful temples including the Shiva temple and Kartikey temple. Many tourists make a visit here. Other important temples with great religious importance are the Shri Ram Janki temple, Annapurna temple and Guru Gorakhnath temple. Pilgrims also make a visit to the beautiful temples like Sri Shuryanarayan temple and Vangeshwar Mahadev temple. You should also not miss the other temples like, Durga temple, Shiv Pariwar, Siddheswar Mahadev temple, Sri Radha Krishna temple and Eleven Rudra temple.

Another place of great religious importance is the place from where river Sone origins. This place is named as Sonemuda.  It is a naturally blessed attraction and a must not miss place for those who want to soak in natural beauty.

Mai ki Bagiya:
If you want a day picnic with your friends or family, you should not miss a visit to Mai ki Bagiya. It is a beautiful dense forest which has a cluster of trees. Located at a distance of just one kilometer from the Narmadakund, "Mai ki Bagiya" is located.

Kapildhara waterfalls:
If you want to enjoy the natural beauty of Amarkantak, you must visit the Kapildhara waterfalls.  Located at a distance of just six km northwest of Narmadakund this beautiful water is a great place for day picnics. Here you can make a visit to the Kapileshwar temple which is a nice religious place.

Kabir chabutra:
Kabir Chabutra is also a great place with religious significance. It is believed that the great Indian Saint Kabir performed some austerities in this place and he attained spiritual powers in this land. The name of the place is dedicated to this great saint. It is considered as a holy place as saint Kabir meditated here.  A visit here will give you great religious knowledge.

Shri Jwaleshwar Mahadev:
Last but not the least; you should not miss the Jwaleshwar temple which is located in Amarkantak. It is believed that Lord Shiva established a Shiva Lings in this place and here there is a beautiful temple where thousands of pilgrims make a visit. It is also said that Lord Shiva and Parvati lived here for some time.

Shree Sarvoday Digamber Jain Mandir:  This temple is located in one of the Hill stations of Amarkantak Region, at the point where river Narmada begins its journey.
