Geeta Jayanti The Geeta Jayanti Festival is celebrated by Hindus to commemorate the birthday of Bhagvad Gita. The Bhagavad Gita is the sacred and most important scripture of Hindu that influences numerous people. It is celebrated annually on the Shukla Ekadasi, 11th day of the waxing moon of Margashirsha month. It is believed that the immortal message of "Bhagavad Gita" was revealed by Lord Sri Krishna (an incarnation of Lord Vishnu) to Arjuna on the Kurukshetra battlefield. Followers of Shri Krishna all over the world celebrate this auspicious day with full enthusiasm. Lord Krishna removed his doubts by teaching him about the fourfold yogas of karma (action), gyana (devotion), bhakti (devotion) and prema (love).
