According to the historic stories, Sathya Sai Baba was born on the November 23 1926 as Satyanarayana Raju. It is said that he was the reincarnation of the Sai Baba of Shirdi, Maharashtra. There are many stories related to Sathya Sai Baba’s child hood, one of the story says, that when he was born to Maa Eswaramba, he was laughing unlike the other babies who cry on birth. There are stories about the super natural powers and the amazing skills he possessed even when he was a kid. Sathya Sai Baba was a religious leader who united people of many different regions together and he preached peace and love. He also preached nonviolence and the power of truth. Chaitanya Jyoti Museum: This is an interesting museum where the literature and pictures of the teachings, mission and the life of Sathya Sai Baba is exhibited. There are seven phases through which the birth, childhood, teachings, and important incidents of his life are arranged and exhibited.

Sanathana Samskruti Museum: This museum has an amazing collection of the religious perceptions of various religions. Here teachings of Sathya Sai Baba are also exhibited. This museum has a keen focus on the teachings of Peace, Love, Harmony and spirituality.

Shivalayam: Shivalayam is a temple in Puttaparthy which is dedicated to Lord Shiva. The temple is constructed in the house where Satya Sai Baba was born. There are some other temples like, Gopalaswami Temple dedicated to Lord Krishna.  Then there is the Satyabhama temple which was built by Sri Ratnakaram Kondama Raju. This is the only temple in our country where Sathyabhama is worshipped.

Kalpa Vriksha: In Puttaparthy there is a famous tamarind tree, also known as the Kalpa Vriksha. This tree was planted by Sathya Sai Baba on June 29, 1959. Located at the bank of river Chitravathi, under this tree Baba used to meditate. This is a nice attraction in Puttaparthy and a visit to this place will add memories and knowledge to your holiday.
